From pharmaceutical sciences to computational microbiome research, Morgan brings a systems perspective to the intersection of statistics and medicine.
She is driven by the power of connection — between data and insight, science and society, and across cultures and disciplines.
Morgan grew up in the American Midwest, surrounded by cats and dogs that her family rescued and spoiled. She has made Europe her home for the last decade.
Meet Kedi’s Reason:
Cosmo
Our chirping, loving, goofy and food-obsessed kitten was finally diagnosed with late stage lymphoma in October 2022. He’d been misdiagnosed with FIP and a common cold before that.
Harsh and outdated chemotherapy drugs gave us a few extra months together, but made the need for animal therapeutic innovation even more painfully obvious.
Throughout those months we asked ourselves: Why have so few of the biotechnology breakthroughs that transformed human pharmaceuticals been applied to animal health, and where else is there room for innovation…?
The absence of viable treatment options extends far beyond our personal tragedy, and remains a system-wide bottleneck to precision veterinary care.
When Cosmo died, we took a break from researching our fellow humans. We have since been devoted to bringing the very best that science and technology can offer to veterinary pharmaceutical R&D.
We strive to prevent undue loss of life in other interspecies families.
Together with our Chief Morale Officer, Stella*, it’s our way of honoring Cosmo’s memory.
